Re: 9378579382758 trucks and I\'m stranded at home. What should I do?
You sound like me--I've got 3 vehicles registered and insured, one has been sitting 3 months with no reverse(and I'm losing money daily by not having the flatbed and crane on it to scrap stuff),the 82 diesel has no rear brakes and the plow is on it--a deadly combination in traffic around here--my 79 C10 is in decent running condition, ecxept I see a small green puddle under it the past few days--the radiator is getting ready to give out,so no long trips in that truck(and the gas tank is nearly empty as usual /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif)--and my 81 van has been off the road for nearly a year(next week it will be one year! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)--and its in better shape than the other 2 I'm using(until I try driving it again--I'm sure the brake lines will pop and the gas tank will leak,etc)--I probably should swap plates from the 74 K20 back onto the van and use it before its junk from sitting(might be already! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)--with no job or steady income its hard to get up the cash for transfering plates, insurance, batteries, gas etc. With scrap at an all time high of 75 bucks a ton,I have considered just loading all the junk in my yard onto the 74 and cash it in plow and all(it would bring 300+ bucks)--but I hate to do that in case I find a similar truck I can use its parts on,and still have a spare plow truck, and the crane and flatbed for scrap runs.I'm going to look into a few parts driving jobs later today--one is at a toyota dealer 800ft from my house--I could walk to work if I get that job,and junk the junks and sell the rest!!. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
