Hey everyone, my name is Matt. Sadly I'm at a complete loss with my blazer. So a week ago she started dying at an idle, no hesitation it would just die. When it would do this it wouldn't start back up until the engine was cooled off a bit, then she would fire back up, and no issues. This led me to look at the ignitioncontrol module, changed it and had no problem, fired right up and drove home. Then i had no start the next day. Inspecting why I found I have no spark at cyl 1, and at the coil, figured with 185k+ miles I'd replace the coil, cap, and rotor. Still no spark, wondering if the ignition control module was bad again took it in to have it tested and the parts store replaced it anyway, still no spark, and it was installing the ignition control module for a 2nd time I noticed I have no fuel as well. So I went to town on trouble shooting. The knock sensor is at 3.5k ohms and wire looks good, not shorting anywhere, 1.3 ohms @ both injectors, 12v @ both injectors, 12v @ tack wire, 12v @ ICM from coil, 682 ohms @ pickups/ distributor, 12v @ temperature sensor (don't know what resistance I should have at 39°f), .64v - 4.9v @ tps, new iac, new coil, new cap+rotor, rotor dose spin, fuel relay is functioning, and fuel pump is running. I have no obd1 codes, it just repeats 12. All grounds I have tested are good, however I may have missed some. all fuses look and test just fine, and the engine turns over strong, when she was running I had no problems. I need some further ideas on what to look for and test because I'm beginning to think somehow my ECM is bad, and idk how to do the relearn procedures, and don't really want to. Any ideas, known faults, or even just throwing an idea back and forth. I'm effectively the only mechanic I know, and I'm needing some help. You guys got anything after reading all that? Thanks for the time.

Unhook the battery cables next time this happens and ground both cables. Wait 10 mins and reinstall and try and start it.

I left the cables disconnected all night and tried to start it today with everything hooked up and ready to run, and she still won't start. Still no spark and no fuel.

Well short of pulling codes, it's conjecture. It sure sounds like a ecu issue. Have you checked the grounds, ecu plug in for damage etc?

I have not, because the ecu has not been touched before and has not been unplugged, yet. I'm hoping to find out for sure it's the ECM before I take it out and spend 149.99 for a new one. I know it sounds cheap but my position, that would make or break me for the month.

As for grounds, I have looked/ checked as many as I can think of.
