95 350 and tranny combo-to my 90 sub

i dont physically have the car yet to see ,so i pose this question-can i just add my transfer case[np241] to that tranny or is it different? car is a caprice w 350 sfi 4 speed w/od

Like I said in the other thread, the 4L60E has the same physical dimensions as the 4L60 you should already have in a 1990. However, you will have to swap output shafts to bolt the transfer case up to it.

4L60 is TH700R4, GM just renamed their transmissions. A 4L60E is just an electronically shifted TH700R4.

what does changing the output shaft entail?

any special tools or pullers ,and do i need to disassemble the whole tranny?
