95 tbi idles great, does like the switch turned off as soon as shifted out of park.

If all the fuses have power, you can pretty much rule out the ignition switch, as other than crank it job is to closed the keyed power circuits to fuses.

Haven't checked power at fuses, just pulled them all and looked at them

When the ignition is off, these three fuses have 0 volts. When the key is in the ON position, they all have 3.5 volts.
Now wether those are all circuits POST ecm, and they get the 5v signal all the sensors get or not, I don't know.

Tomorrow while I'll at work I'll dig through the schematics and get a better idea.

I don't think there is anything but sensors that use under 12V on these rigs, and those are all 5V directly to/from the ECM.

No spark = no fuel (injectors will not fire until the ECM "sees" that the ignition is sparking), definitely have to figure that out first. You can check for 12v at each injector (but must ground to chassis, ECM grounds the injectors to fire them) to at least ensure they are seeing voltage with key on.

I know people go one way or the other on this, but having a spare distributor isn't a bad thing, if pickup coil is suspect I personally would prefer to get a complete new distributor to swap out instead of piecemealing the individual components. Yep, they can be garbage, but everything is non-US now, might as well not pay a premium on Chinese stuff IMO.

It's the switch. We took out the fuses that are live when the key is on. And there was still only 3.5 ish volts there.
Opened up the switch to get to the wires and only getting the same there on the pink. Unless you pushed up on it hard then it would make and get the 12.

So since he won't have the money for the expensive azz switch for a bit, we got inventive. :waytogo:

Turn the switch on and hit the key it starts up, shut the key of then flick the switch down it turns off. It'll work for now lol

I told him since we're this far we should just take the tumbler out and throw in a push button lol.
Nobody, is going to steal it.
The tools that sit on the passenger seat during the day are worth more than the truck to most people.
The bed has lost most of the metal, but the bed liner made a perfect cast of the fenderwells. So it looks normal from the wheel well, or the tail gate. But if you push on the black places in the wheel well, it's just bed liner material :haha:

He only has $1100 in a 4x4 pickup though, so I call it a win.
