Selling the K5 and getting a 2500 for DD duty. Anyways I want a Vortec equipped truck and I dont care if its a 350 or 454. Anything I need to watch out for when looking at these trucks?

ask if the intake or head gaskets hae been replaced. These trucks are notorious for them.

Also ask if the fuel pump has been changed, they like to quit at the worst times and are quite expensive. If you get one make sure you change the fuel filter regularly. I plan on changing mine about every 10,000 miles.

As sled dog said, the intake manifold gasket is sure to go.

thats very true about the fuel pumps hell you can get a brand freaking new one and it go out a month later lmao that happened a work on a burb. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Now that I think on it I do remember having to do quite a few fuel pumps on Vortec era Tahoes/Burbs. Not fun when the damn Burb has like 40 gallons of gas in it and I have to drop the tank because we didnt have time to siphon it all out.
