Just watch out and be careful if there is an HOA. We have had a few VRBO properties pop up in our neighborhood and the HOA amended their rules to make them illegal to operate in our HOA.

The basic issue is that in a typical neighborhood situation VRBO's just don't fit in well. People on vacation wanting to party and have a good time don't sit well with people that live there and don't want to deal with the noise and revolving door of neighbors. I didn't have an issue with them and was one of 4 votes that would have allowed them to stay, there were more than 200 votes to make them go.
We looked at all the hoa stuff and what a pain. We are buying a condo that is in a complex with around 8 buildings I believe and when looking online way over half are listed as vrbo or permanent rental.
