Hey guys,
I was recently given a clean 97 chevy blazer because they thought the engine was locked up. I went out the other night to mess with it and turned the key and it started right up! But it does have a problem. When you first start it and you keep on the gas it runs fine, up to any rpm. But when you let off the gas and let it go to idle then it bogs down and tries to shut off, almost like it was running out of gas. We tested the fuel pressure and it stays between 50-60 psi the whole time so that kind of eliminated a fuel to engine problem. Can't find any kind of vacuum leak anywhere, checked all the hoses. No codes on the dash either. Anybody got any ideas? FYI it has the 4.3 vortec engine. Thanks a bunch!

4.3 vorted it like 60 psi min pressure or it will not be right. had one run at 48-52 and had drivability problems.

and if battery was dead then it has to be drivin to relearn the way it likes to run.

also check for extra full oil level or external coolent leaks. thay are notrius for leaking intake gaskets. if thay dont leak external thay leak internal and fill up the crank case with coolent.
