Has anyone tried running the 97 Ford F-150 leaf springs? I have an 89 Burb and after looking at the free arch and length of the springs on the link below, I thought I could run the 2.5" ORD shackle flip backwards since I already have 56" springs, with a 6" shackle. I figure that should net me about 5-5.5" and I could use the zero rate to adjust up if need be. I plan on new 5+1 leaf 52's in the front with the overload still in. Thoughts, comments?

just a fyi from a mechanic .

ford leafs are SOFT and over 50% of the replacement or beefup work I have done is on fords .

so watch out what pack you pic .

last time I ordered from sd truck spring I took a bit for them to show up . so don't be tight on time and want them now . the shipping might be a tad slow .

were are you in new York ? I am in upstate by ny/pa boarder zip 14845 .

Thanks for the heads up. I noticed that they are rated a lot lower than the chevy springs. I was looking at the 4+1 (2200#) vs my factory 4+1 GM, should be about the same pack and then possibly going to add a leaf, or see if the 250 offers a 5+1 pack to compensate for bumper/tire. No time rush really, just trying to gather all of the parts I want and then a solid week of work!

I am in the Norwich area, 13815. You are not that far away. Maybe we can meet up at Rausch or something this summer. I want to see how 130"+ wheelbase does! lol
