the truck was hit and is shot. motor runs good, and he said i can pull off whatever i need. so what am i in for and is it worth doing? thanks :waytogo::waytogo:

whole engine, all wiring, computer, entire fuel system, as much of the exhaust as you can use
basically it would be best to have the truck sitting somewhere close to the blazer until the swap is done, so if you forgot a part, you can just grab it, or see how something was setup on the 98

may think about the tranny too... which also has a wiring harness and probably shares the computer control

I would run the injection. Better mileage, less hassle (once installed), better performance off road.

jebsr, thats what i was thinking. its 2wd if that matters. i was thinking all i needed was the computer, wireing and the engine. thanks

Pretty much it. The question is what trans does the 98 have in it, manual or auto. The computer and part of the harness will be differant if it has a 4l60E or 4l80E. Not a big deal to overcome though.
