This has been an ongoing thing with this truck. Bought it with a miss in the engine. I was thinking, no big deal. The truck is a 98 k-1500, 5.7 w/ 184,000 miles.

It constantly misses on cylinder 4, sometimes also on 3. It only misses on idle, off idle it doesn't miss at all.

I replaced distributor gear, cap, rotor, plugs wires. It still misses.

Then changed the upper intake gaskets and injectors on cylinder 3 and 4. Still misses. Cleaned the plenum, and cleaned all the injectors and poppets. Still misses.

Since then I have replaced the lower intake gaskets since it started using coolant really bad suddenly. It still misses

The miss in the engine is still at idle, mainly on a cold engine, but also intermittently when the engine is warm. The engine runs smooth while driving and has plenty of power.

The only thing I can think of is the computer may be bad?

Has anyone else run into this issue? Maybe a PCM reflash?
