'99 4 Door Tahoe SAS Build, Taking it back a few years

You’ve got to sometimes tell yourself “ screw it, and just do it!”
You built it, so you know you can wrench on it. Fill it full of tools and spare parts and point it the direction you want to go.
This is what I’ve told myself the last 3 years. Here I am again.

Probably better on the new tires too.

You build them to drive.. Or at least I do. I look at this way, if I can make the drive to the trail whether it's 2 hours to it or 12 or more I'm pretty sure my stuff is screwed together tight enough to tackle a trail or two. I've shaken the bugs out pretty well and wouldn't hesitate to drive to Moab today if I had the money. That being said, I'll be wheeling mine next weekend anyway in central CO instead as it's a little cheaper on fuel and no campsite fees.

I'll be watching for pics from BB though! Be safe and have fun!

Yeah I always drove my trucks I built everywhere.
This one I bought as is and I am bringing company so I changed my mind and I am towing, but I also will sleep in my tow rig so I am saving money on hotels.
See you Friday

This is right on the money.

Not only is a road trip a useful systems test, but it also reveals whether your suspension and steering will perform well off-road. If those systems don’t cycle and maintain control on the street or highway, it will only get worse once you hit the trail.

Chad’s hydro assist upgrade is a great example of this line of thinking.

I’m gonna dissagree a little here, my K20 is a squirrelly, unpleasant nightmare on pavement and a flexy, compliant and fast dream off-road. Pavement testing doesn’t really apply to off-road abilities. Now in terms of overall reliability...a good long road trip can tell you a LOT!

I built my truck and the first time I drove it was from Moab Rim RV to the gas station on the right side pulling out. Ran out of gas going into the pump. Wheeled it all weekend came back home tried to drive it 40 miles on the highway and it puked fluid everywhere and died in flight...

Ghey it up all you want. Your shallow grasp of English shows why you like the band...
It's like one of those subconscious things you know, you are thinking about them so much it just comes out at random in unintentional ways. My wife has seen them in concert so I guess they must be ok.

Home finally, thank goodness! And an awesome end to another Moab Blazer Bash adventure! The trans is SHOT!!! And I’ve got a hand full of other issues to be addressed. With 18 hours of drive time home, my wheels have really been turning. Y’all ever heard installing a doubler?? Anyway, time to unpack and get on with the work week. Plenty of pics still to be uploaded in the Blazer Bash thread.

And this months issue of Peterson’s 4Wheel was waiting on me in the mail box. That will keep me busy for the rest of the afternoon.

Yep was worried about your drive. Glad you made it back

What’s this Doubler nonsense?

Glad you guys made it home, sounds like it was as much an adventure as the week wheeling was...

Just don't be one of those guys on the trail who always runs in low-low-low all the time.

With coilovers and bypasses, you don't need no stinkin doubler.

Also true!

We had a great time with you again Wade! Thanks for everything you do!
