'99 4 Door Tahoe SAS Build, Taking it back a few years

Sometimes we all need a little spark to get motivated again glad you found yours.

When I saw the interior of the Tahoe gutted I thought this is the beginning of the end….like the others I’ve fought the same battle and I always come back to wishing I’d still had a drivable truck at the end, so I’m learning to leave things alone and enjoy them.

It is again now. I don’t know about the lucky part, but it did show back up at the right time.
That's what I meant by lucky.
Not many people get a second chance at a vehicle they had to let go.
I got back my 84 suburban turbo diesel and I was happy with that but I never let it out of my sight, I saw the guy not getting anywhere with it and he was ready to part it out for a few pieces he needed so I offered him what he needed from the pile of parts I had and got it back

Yep. Once the interior was out and I started with the cage and tube door idea, I realized then that I’d took a wrong turn on the trail. My issue at the time was that a lot had already been invested and I didn’t want it to go to waste. It has taken all this time for me to accept the mistake and just turn around.

Good on you for turning it around. Too many of us turn our trucks into purpose built rock crawlers that are no good for anything else when most of our time in them is doing somehting other than crawling.
