How much rotational “play” if any is acceptable in the output shaft of a power steering gear box? I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee and while installing new tie rod and center link ends I noticed that I had play in the steering gear output shaft. I could wiggle the end of the pitman arm back and forth about 1/16”.
