Hi guys, I searched for hours last night to find just one pic of a square body Burb with 99-07 Chevy seats in but had no luck. Has any one done this? I know the floor has a hump in it and the seats bottoms are almost flat on the floor and the newer seats are raised up about 6 inches. I'm thinking I'll have to reuse the slider rails that I have now and take them off the new seats.

I know this is the section that gets the most traffic so hopefully someone has some pics or good ideas to help me along on this, I plan on getting this started tomorrow. I'll be taking lots of pics for future reference if I can get it to works. Thanks!

Ive done this to my 90.I used 2005 front seats with 2009 center console all leather fits good.If your taller than 6'3" your head will hit the headliner.Just remember to put large plates as washers under bolts under truck.2nd and third row will also fit.

I've read that a few times, the difference is that Suburbans have a different floor board than K5's. They have a hump that the seat base rests on. I was just worried that the seats would sit too high but since I'm some what vertically challenged, (5'7") it sounds like from the 2nd post they should work out. Thanks for the reply's, I'm will take pics and post them when I'm finished this weekend.

Thanks! You just made the best first post in CK5 history!

Ok, update then. I just pulled the drivers seat and set the new one in to check the height. I think it is going to work good. The floor board is not exactly flat though so I will have to go to Lowes and pick some stuff up.

Ok, on to the pics!

Some shots of the bottom. Grade 8 hardware.

3/8 steel should hold up.

Here are some more shots of the floor and how uneven it was. Initially I was worried that the seats would sit to high but it turned out great for me. My head is about 6 inches from the ceiling and you have to tilt the steering wheel up when you get in or out but it is very comfortable driving this thing now.

looks good...how tall are you?

I'm 6'2" and am thinking about doing the same with my burb...:waytogo:

Well I'm only 5'7", you might have to do some modifying but I think you could cook something up so they sit a little lower.

hmm 6" headroom , 7" height difference, split that between my legs and torso,.......calculating...

Yeah, it'll work! Thanks...:thumb:

i put the exact same seats in my 91 burb, front and back. it was a total pain in the ass. i had to cut the floor pans out to get the seats to sit low enough for me, and to get a flat mounting point for all 4 bolts to bolt into. i mistakenly thought our floor pans were the same as a K5. they are not. i spent probably a good 3 days worth of work modifying the floor in front and modifying the floor in the rear to fit them. i will post pics in the next few days if i still have them. my phone was stolen and i dont know if they had been downloaded before the disappearance.

I did modify a some.... I cut the outer brackets off (closest to the doors) and added spacers, washers, and some c-channel on the inner seat supports, here are some pics.

Closest to the drivers door, I just used about 3/4 inch spacer in the rear.

Next to the console, about 3/4 inch spacer in front and a good 2 inches in the rear. Sorry no pics of the rear right now.

Put the bolt back in the hole. Or one just like it but shorter so it doesn't stick out the bottom.

I like it. Looks like something I could do with mine, I'm 5'8" so I think I would have room

Looks great.Any ideas on what to do with the hole left over from seatbelt bolt?

Big baller! Even got the palm tree in the background! That looks nice, you should post more pics.

As for the seat belt hole, you could just get a shorter bolt and washer but I was thinking about a grab handle for mine for getting in and out of the back seat. Yours looks good!
