Thanks Brian... :waytogo:

I wouldn't worry about help getting your rig back together if you dive deep into it some time. The guys on this forum will always help you put her back together..

There would be no way that I could have come this far in putting it back together with out the guys. Although, there would have been no way that I would have taken it apart this far with out the guys cheering me on, too. :doah:

Remember, misery loves company....

So, when ya taking it apart... :haha: :D

True that Mike....to think I was happy when I just got my blazer and it didn't even have an engine in it...then I got all these ideas "forced" upon me, and I bet I dont' even have 300 miles on the dam truck yet.

Lol... With that many miles on her, you "Might as Well" install a FAST system on it...

Oh...Wait... :doah:

Peer pressure's a bitch, huh.. :haha:

I have one of them FAST systems... Isn't installed but I've got it! Actually, come to think of it I was peer pressured into NOT installing it by the brotherhood... Weird:D

I was about two weeks from shipping it back to Ohio and the group concensus was that I should drive it instead of having a couple days of down time. All I need parts wise is head gasket kit, intake gasket, new distributor and fuel injectors. I have the new heads, TPI and FAST kit already. So when I get back I'm getting a new 383 long block to bolt the TPI onto and let her rip:D

Ended up with a little time last night to get in the garage. I was itching to get out there, after being on the East coast last weekend.

Welded up the start of the pass side mid span engine cage support. Still need to do a little trimmin' on it, but it looks like it worked over the bump. I used all of the existing holes in the frame so far that were there for the original shock mount. I'll probably need to drill only one hole for a bolt in the lower front of the plate.

Also on a good note. I ordered the Zeon 12 winch a couple days ago. Hopefully they get there first shipment of the winches in on Monday and they can ship it out the same day. It would be nice to have it on hand for the long weekend, next week.

Couple pics.

Thanks...

It's getting better. Still walking around like a damn zombie, though. It starts to hurt after standing around for a bit in front of the workbench. I think that I'm going to go by tractor supply tonight and get some of those big horse mats, or something. A little more cushion would be nice out there for the feet and knee.

How is drinkin' land treating ya? Really like checking out your pics on FB. I wish that I would have done more traveling when I was over there.

Forgot to mention. I put a deposit down this week on a new garage bud. My wife heard some noise outside this last weekend when I was gone, so I figured it was time to pull the trigger.

Many of you guys remember that I lost Romulas, my 150 pound Cane Corso during this build. Well, I have a puppy Cane Corso now. He will be 8 weeks on Dec. 21. That would be the first day that they could ship him from Mississippi. Hopefully we can get him before X-mas.

It will be cool having a dog kicking back with me in the garage again.

Here is the little guy.

The breeder thinks that the new pup will hit the 150-165 pound mark.. :waytogo:

Awesome man, good to hear you'll have a shop buddy around. Look at that little guy, any choices of names yet.

His Father is a good looking Corso. Post some more pics when you get the little guy.

Here is a pic of my CC with his stick down at the lake, and the little one is our Frenchie trying to help out.

I think you wasted money on that new winch......

That dog looks strong enough to pull your truck up any hill you get stuck on. :yikes:

lol! no sh!t! 165lbs is going to be one big ass garage buddy. My Old English Mastif died a couple years ago and he was a great dog too. He topped out at about 155lbs and that was plenty to keep the local punks on their toes. :woot:

That is a great looking dog. I really do love the CC breed. They turn out to be a huge lap dog. :doah:

No names yet. I wasn't off the phone for 5 minutes when the name war had started at my house.

I'd like to go with another Italian name again, but not sure yet. I threw out the normal car part names, piston, torque and such and was shot down. I just wanted to see their face, when I said them, though. :wink1:

My wife called me this morning and said we should name him Shaq.....cuz he is big and black..:haha:......Not going to happen..

Going to waste some time today looking for a cool name.

Lol, they are a pretty big ol' powerful dog. I really can't wait to get him here. Not super excited about the puppy stage again, but oh well. My wife's shoe collection needs a thinning out anyways. :D

and the other great thing about this breed. Little johnny and his punk friends will hopefully think twice before they decide to steal from my yard.

Thanks Mike! If you and the Mrs want a vacation in Europe you're more than willing to stay here. I always have a (un) healthy amount of beer around :D

Sucks that the knee is still bugging you, hope that starts feeling better soon.

Good looking pup you got there! Our friends here have a brindle cane Corso named Drako, he's a big dufus... Good boy though. Gotta love dogs.

Thanks brother. That's twice that you have offered me a sweet place to stay for the price of a 6 pack, or so.

I hear ya on, Drako. Sometimes I just couldn't figure out if they are just not all there, or just have balls the size of their head. When we first moved to Cali, we had a little house downtown. It was a two level house where the upstairs windows were just a couple inches over the roof line. He would push the window open and walk the 4/12 roof no problem. Don't know if that was intelligence kickin in, or just the size of his balls. I tell ya though, it sure was funny watching peoples faces when they were walking down the sidewalk, look up, and there was a 150# dog barking at them from on top of the roof. :haha:

Thanks Dave. We are still in a heated battle on the home front, as far as the name. We have looked everywhere for a cool name.

The winner so far is Midas...(King of Phrygia; given gift of turning to gold all he touched):waytogo:

I tried Ferro last night and was shot down..(Old Italian byname for someone with a strong physique, meaning "iron.")

Never know tho. it may change tonight....:doah:

Woke up, way early today. Was out in the garage at 5:00. Hope to make some good progress on the front. It would be cool to mock up a lot of the tubes. Then I can ask the question of the front crossmember. I think that it will need to be changed out for mounting of the tubes and the winch.
