sweet, beefy..... :waytogo: I know the amount of work involved in cutting/shaping/grinding all that steel...

cute pooch.... :D

deja-vu.....

You're not kidding, Paul. Better tools would have been a big help and made it come out a little better too. I tried to cut down the 1" with a portaband and it just wandered a little too much for me. Out came the 5" cutoff blades and fresh beer per cut. :doah: :thumb:

The screw pins ones won't come out.

I know quite a few guys running em on daily driven rigs. Only reason they have lost one is because some one forgot to give it back after they used it.

Well they might but I really really doubt it. Ask anyone who hasn't used theirs in a couple months, usually have to get an additional tool to loosen em up

Going to order some from McMaster this morning. Thanks for the help:waytogo:

Mine on the back of my k10... they were on the front of my Landcruiser for 7 years befor that. Never had any trouble getting them off by hand.:dunno:

Is that a Northern gay pride sticker? :sign9:

:D

I lost a screw pin on the trail once. Now I have some safety clips that won't let the screw back out.

I'll see how they work out. If they keep falling out, Eric will need to come over and drill some holes in the screw pin for some cotter keys.

keep up the good work bro! you're the one keeping this forum alive! :)

Thanks Ash. :wink1: You're right, our little forum sure has died down some. We need some more poor souls, new 1st gen owners to start hacking on their rigs.

It makes me kinda reconsider Seans offer of taking his Blazer. I could have at least kept his thread up with pics of me washing it, fixing it or just plain out beating the chit out of it.

We do have AJ back so that's pretty damn cool though. :woot:

Mike,

Your teepee needs more triangulation!

What you can't see on the inside are the dimpled gussets. I figured with those and the exterior skin (leather chamois) installed in a tension form, we would be good to go. I didn't want my kid to drop it and it all fall apart. Not coming out of my garage at least. :pimp:

Nah, you're good. I got San Fran right down the road for when the Blazer is road worthy. Should be plentyO stickers down there. :waytogo: :haha:

I see what you did there.

I agree to come out and drill holes in your shackles and insert cotter pins ( I will even bring my own drill, drill bits, and cotter pins).

If they do fall out, which they won't so I will need another excuse to come down and say hi:D

I tried to tell you Mike... You could've been keeping my swampers from getting flat spots, unlike my dad:doah:

At least he is starting it and moving it around the warehouse sometimes, but the Ohio snow isn't helping anything...

All I know is I miss that pig and hanging around here making everybody jealous with pics of a driving 1st gen :flipoff2:

Sorry, that's what happens when we send 9bazillion pm's back and forth..

Done fixed...

so I will need another excuse to come down and say hi:D

With that, I have came up with a great idea this morning. :D

Sean is going crazy over there and wants to spend some cash and time fabbing some stuff for his Blazer..

Plans are, ship me the Blazer. I'll get some tube and start the cage. You both fly in, we knock out the cage in time for BB. Tie it down to my trailer and head to BB.

Sean is unsure of this plan so far (wife :doah:). I figured we could get this out in the open, so we ALL could help him with his decision. :pimp:

This is a great plan, I think all could agree on that. :waytogo:

Okay :D:D:D:D have to see how much plane tickets are though my goal this year is to get Horton 2.0 finished and get my dually running

There are very few people that I would just drop my truck off to and say go for it.

You sir are one of them.

I think this is a great idea.

1 vote for DO IT!

Oh, I'm definitely going to be doing some price checking to see how much the total would be to get it there/back, tube, beer, welding supplies, beer, my plane ticket(s), gas in Moab, beer, diesel for Mike's truck, motel, and probably some beer. That ought to about cover it. Plus the few hundred I'd need to throw the TPI on it, cause I refuse to wheel it without efi now. We'll see what I come up with. :woot:
