What a great day yesterday. The last time I had seen Eric was on our epic run to see our “internet friends” up in Canada 5+ years ago.

We didn’t do a lot of forward progress yesterday, just mainly put the Blazer back together. I had planned on having this all done before he arrived, but with me being sick this week and him showing up a day early, the Blazer was all tore apart.

My personal goal was to have him pretty much do a top to bottom, front to back inspection of everything I’ve done throughout the years. Believe me, I was a little nervous as this was the first metal fab and for that matter, welding, I had ever done when I started this project.

All in all, I came out with a passing grade. No redo’s. Just a couple of frame straps and add a little beef by the FUSH for some preventative maintenance. The next phase will be to start to blow this thing apart, run some plumbing, paint and begin doing some final assembly.

About 1:00 John @frankin5 came over at just about the time we gave the engine some spark. With a little extra fuel in the bowl, she fired right up.

The day ended with Joe @Jomamma heading over for some more BSing around the fire. It sure would have been cool if @imiceman44 could have made it, but the road was closed.

Some great time with some great Brothers, from the Brotherhood. Thanks everyone for coming over.

Your pretty nice for a turd

Thanks for keeping the brotherhood

Thanks.... I think? ;)

There is a reason it’s called the Brotherhood. Awesome people, great minds, phenomenal builders that all act like 12 year olds when we’re together. Lol

Awesome!
Once eric shows up it's a real build!

No kidding. I felt like I was in 6th grade coming home to a report card that was already at home because they sent it by mail..... especially when he’d turn his hat around backwards and let out a hmmmm.

Is that a good hmmmm or did I just fock up, hmmmmm, I kept asking myself???? :dunno: :haha:

Awesome!!

Definitely been a while since you guys have been in the same picture together!

Way too long. It was like we never skipped a beat tho. I think my wife finally understands the Brotherhood after having Sean stay here years ago and the Sasquatch the last couple of nights. She loved them both and is really excited about BB now. Eric is one heck of a salesman. :saweet:

Where did you cross?
The road didn't open until 1 hour ago?
Highway 70 up and around. Got on it straight out of Oroville. It was good for 40 miles or so. But after that not so much. Got stuck behind a group of semis. Couldn't accelerate fast enough to pass em all. Accepted my fate of 30 mph and enjoyed the scenery.

Roads pretty much look all bad from Salt lake to home. But much easier in the daytime

Yeah I was planning on going that route straight to Oroville but haven't done it in so long didn't know what to expect bobtail with no weight on the drives.
Guessing you are home or close to it by now

When 70 is loaded with trucks, you know every other route is closed.
The Feather river canyon is a beautiful ride.

Pretty much.
If I didn't have a delivery in Reno on Monday I would have tried harder to cross but I ended spending time with an old friend from ck5 here in Reno Terry Owens.
Did some indoor rock climbing and had a blast

Home now. 70 wasn't awesome. But not too bad

Yes it is. When I come back on vacation I'm driving to Mike's on that road
