@SpeedlabDan @skunked
Did you guys run the black braided fuel lines?

@NorCal69 was asking me about them, for fuel, trans, blah blah yada, and beer dispenser lines

Also Mikey, I’d use the spec hoses for the hydro assist that come with the ram

For fuel and the power steering cooler I’m running black summit brand 6AN and summit brand fittings. The transmission is plumbed with rubber continental hose that came with my Derale cooler.

lol

Lets get it to paint first and moving under it's own power
FI technology in the aftermarket sector has gone so far in the last 5 years, who knows what will change in the near future

I am currently using raceflux black braided viton on everything. Very high burst rating not full hydo rated but very good for what it is. As for a fuel filter on both the fi truck it's a billet 30micron ebay special. The seem made well I only bored the an6 fittings to full diameter.

I have used the black braided fuel line on the crew cab with EFI and the 73 C10 with the carb. Seems to work well. Can't remember for certain but it's probably Summit brand.

On the C10 I used a summit filter with the AN fittings like the Russell brand posted above. Still using the TBI filter in the crew cab.

Appreciate all the info, fellas. It’s given me stuff to look for. I’ll slowly start grabbing stuff over the next month or so.

Should be done with the C’s to frame here tonight. I’ll grab pics when I’m done.

That officially means it’s time to blow this thing apart down to the last bolt. I’m going to get the frame blasted again, along with the one and only remaining stock cross member. So my question is paint.

What should I paint the frame with? It’s going to be black, but a gloss or matte? I’m thinking or a couple of accent pieces too in the hugger orange. Probably just the body mounts?

Whatcha got..... @ryoken ? Lol

I’d like to get this ordered ASAP.

Satin Black for the frame seems like the "stock" way to go... :)

I often cringe when people get too cute with "accent" colors on the underside of a truck. Painting a random bracket, shock mount or steering stabilizer makes the whole thing feel disjointed and ADHD-inspired....

I guess I might be convinced if you were staying in the same color family (black frame, carbon gray axles, Steel-It black or grey on other suspension bits). Allows you to highlight certain items and create a nice cohesive look without turning the whole thing into a freakshow.

Main thing is to keep those hubcaps on there no matter what, and let everyone have an aneurysm about it. :haha:

Lol.... oh the hub caps are staying if nothing more than for the WTF looks and comments. :pimp:

I’m with a satin. I guess I really haven’t put much thought into it until the last couple of days.

I couldn’t agree more on the accents. I may hate it, or not even do it, honestly. I guess we’ll see what they look like. If they turn out like a pink shock boot, they’ll get blasted again and shot black.
