I think you should keep at it with your stock bumpers, I like that look. :waytogo:

Also, in addition to milk, they have to be double stuff.

for some reason I felt drawn to this thread today....:whistle:

Best idea EVAAAR!!!!!

Better than speed holes though.....drill the holes about 1-3/4" diameter and sleeve them with thin walled tubing that's maybe 4" long. Cap the end on the far side and you've got OREO cookie storage! More holes, more cookies.... if you ever get stranded, you can simply remove the weatherproof cap, and enjoy a half-sleeve of cookies while you figure out what to do.

That would never work with Eric in the rig. He'd always be saying that he heard something under the rig and need to go investigate. The damn cookie dispenser would need a lock on it. lol

I fully support this idea

Yeah, I bet you do..:haha:

I can only eat oreo's with milk. So you should make a milk storage area as well.

Milk is for girls with weak bones. :tongue1:

That's the plan so far, Heath. And, I'm all for the double stuff cookie. :D

Amazing work bud! Can't wait to watch more. Keep it up.

Thanks you, Sir. Sorry for the recent chit show in the thread. :pimp: We'll try to get her heading in the right way here soon. Or maybe not??

Yeah, sorry for dragging you into to it. It was the perfect lead up tho. You can't blame a guy for that, can ya?:p:

That would only be the case if both Mike and I were in it:D

And so it is said. and so it shall be...:eek1::screwy:

Sorry Eric... With that comment I`m picturing the Michelin man! :D

You shouldn't be day dreaming about Eric. :wink1:

I seem to have stumbled into a very strange, if not surreal place here

Looking good Mike!

Thanks! You need to stop by more. Look at all the knowledge that you almost missed out on. :doah::haha:

Hopefully I have a second to post up about last nights, no progress, progress update before I get picked up here this morning.

Sorry for not answering your text last night. I was on kid duty so I had to keep my phone on silent.

All good, bro. I was just giving you some crap. Lol

I didn't have enough time to finish my post from last nights progress. Hopefully tonight I'll have enough time to work on her again and post up.

How about a picfest to catch up?

Here we go....

Cut up the original to give me a the 1" BL. That at least gave me one constant.

Mounted them to see I was going to have some bolt problems.

Front bumper bolts are much higher on the bumper

When I'm looking to do the same type of set up for the rear.

Not very specific, but about where she ended up.

I have nice holes through the bumper.

Made some scribe marks where the bumper landed.

Yep, it's still way the hell back there.

So I started cutting 1" with the hypertherm 45. Something I didn't have for the front.

To where it felt like I was cheating.

Midas, was not impressed..

Starting to fit pieces in.

And welding them in.

"V" grooving everything in the process.

1" in, minus the plug welds from the outside.

And the next plate in.

Half way through weld to show nice gap.

On to the next post..:waytogo:

Second 1/4" layer complete.

Nice gap.

Midas, totally not interested at this point.

Starting to give a little love.

The last inside piece. Still needs plug weld holes and shackle hole.

Had to kerf the crossmember to fit right.

Cut the crossmember so everything slides in 5/8", to get an interior weld also.

So far.

Where the bumper lands.

Im outa pics. :thumb:

A few things....

Photos are great... Like Sean flew in from Germany to do some artsy shots.

Welds are tight. Dood, you are hitting your stride and laying down some sweet beads

Dogs in build theads..... 10x bonus points for that.

Edit:

Love the s shaped c clamp handles. What brand are those?
