anybody own a srw 79 f350? i bought 1 several hr drive away & i'm worried about it fitting on my trailer..width wise that is. i don't want to drive 2 hrs only to return w/empty trailer. i've been told a 79 ford d60 is a mirror design of a gm d60 but w/hi-pinion. any help is appreciated

edit: my trailer is 73'' wide..

If you can get some dually rims, slap them on it to narrow it even more.

Don't think dually rims will fit the rear on Fords anyways, so not sure on that one.

It'll fit in a truck bed, trailer smaller than that?

I think he's picking up the whole truck?

I doubt it's gonna fit, my car trailer is "84 inches and my crew cab with stock steelies barely fits on it.

I doubt it will fit either. I have a friend with a 78" wide trailer and a half ton 4wd chevy will not fit on it.

my old trailer had about 78-79" inner fender width.

dana 60 front has about 1/4" each side locking hub clearence. on stock steel wheels.

I would doubt it would fit. I've hauled a stock Chevy K30 with the narrow factory rims and tires on an 83" wide trailer and there's not a whole lot of extra room. The locking hubs sticking out are the closest point to the trailer fenders.

yep thats what i'm worried about the hubs sticking out b/c my trailer has rails around it..i really need to get this thing home.
