ok, what is the better hub?? the mile marker? or any hub that is a warn? i just got a set of hubs from a friend that are warn, i dont know what kind of hubs they are. should i put them on the burb, or leave the mm hubs on?

I've had Warn's (regular and premium), MM's, Rough Countrys, and some no names that had a blue dial.

The Warn premiums were nice...till I poped one. Easy to unlock with the 3/4 turn, even when cold.

MM's came on my K5 when I bought it. No complaints there either. They were 1/4 turns, locked/unlocked just a easily as the Warns. Broke as easily as the Warnt too.

The Rough Countrys are currently on my K5. 3/4 turns. Got them with a parts truck. Have had these the longest, beat the crap out of them, haven't broken one yet. Real easy to turn. Engage with little to no movement of the tire. They've even unlocked when I forgot to shift out of 4-hi. Although last time I took them appart I had to drill out 11 of the 12 screws holding them to the hub. Not a big deal, could happen to any no S.S. hub.

The no names were on my K20 when I got it. 1/2 turns. Took forever for them to engage and even longer for them to disengage. Giant PITA to turn the dial to unlock too. Maybe they were just worn out or needed a good cleaning. Never broke one though. Replaced them with a set of regular Warns. Broke one of them the first trip out.

The next set I buy will probably be another set of Rough Countrys. If I can find them...I didn't know they even made hubs. Looking at them they just look old, matte finish and plain dial. They are proabably older than I am. But they have worked the best for me so far.

FWIW: I keep my no names w/blue dial as my spares in the K5. They may suck to lock/unlock, but they never broke on me.

Your no names are stock Spicers, they don't break because they are steel not alum alloy.
They are a pain to engage disengage, but the only thing that I ever had a problem with was when I unlocked them and ran them on a 203 in Hi Loc, the plastic dial melted from the heat still not sure what happened.
The Warns as well as most after market hubs are alloys so they break.

Spicer is the shiznit...if only they had a brass dial they'd be almost indestructable!

Warn Premiums are pretty good too.
