Anybody know where to buy a good quality air conditioning condenser for my 1979 k10 stepside ? I'm on my 3rd one from Rock Auto and every one leaked.

I run a Classic Auto Air compressor with a stock style condenser. (Auto Air does not have one but, says they're working on one but with no due date. Last time I checked with them was this summer 2021).

Any info will be most appreciated...

Back in August, i bought one from RA as well. 3-4 weeks later my AC was not working, by then no more heat or need for it until next summer. I was assuming I had another leak, but after hearing your issues, now I‘ m wondering if the one I bought from them is junk too.

I was looking into getting a new condenser June this year. I didn't find anything. I don't remember if Ra had any in stock, or I just didn't like them.
Something is up with Spectra, not exporting to US.

I bought one from VA and installed it BUT after looking around, you can find the same exact one cheaper. VA sold me their kit for 200 bucks or so or you can just buy it here for less than a hundred. In order to get the VA one to work I had to make some custom lines and all that but if I had known what I know now, I would have saved a hundred bucks and just bought the core from this site and done the same thing.

Thanks to all for the feedback! I found out that Classic Auto Air in Tampa Fl. will build a new condenser if you can supply them with the old one for reference..
It's not cheap, about $340.00, but it is a source since no supplier seems to have any. At least any that don't leak!!
