A/C control box

my A/C works fine, and the hot cold control works, but the air always comes out of the dash vent no mattter where the control is. i Am about to put a new dash pad in and would like to fix my control while i have the dash out. Also was thinking i might remove ducting and clean and seal. read a post a while back about it, but cant remember who it was. any helpful hints

exactly the info i was looking for thanks harry. so far you have always been right ont he money with my drivabilty problems. i may just stop posting and start sending PM directly to you. JK
