A/C Removal

I Was wondering if there is a way that i can take out my A/C box and everything off the firewall, and still have heat for the defroster and whatnot for the cold weather? My truck is a 83 K5 and i just wanna clean up the firewall for more room inside my engine bay.

Swap in parts from a non-AC truck (heater box, blower, etc)
