I jst got my new JC Whitney yesterday and as I was looking through it, I found a pretty cheap mod that seems like a good plan, but I just want to know if anyone has done it and what their opinions on it are. It is a 1" throttle body spacer for my 87 K5 tbi. It's a nicer one thats is selling for $67 I think. Anyways, it says it increases fuel atomization /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif but it also says that it can give around 22 extra hp, 23 lb/ft of torque, and 4 more mpg. I figure 10 more hp, 10 more lb/ft, and 2 mpg and I get my money's worth. So, do they really work? Thanks.

I wouldnt buy one you would just be bolting it to a stock intake. I would buy a good intake and do it right the first time.

Yes, I really want to upgrade the exhaust, but currently I am only a high school student with very little extra cash to spend. Thats why I am looking for cheap mods. BTW- Does anyone know who makes headers for an 87K5 that wont mess up the computer sensors? Thanks.
