Hello everyone, I wanted to share this with everyone, especially since I've been away for a while and CK5 has given me so much. My Blazer was built with knowledge exclusively obtained here.

Today we made an "unofficial" (unplanned) trip with some members of the local club.

The story is basically that we ended up at the bottom of two hills. So we had to go through the "least worst" of both exits.

On this first video it's me "exploring" exit No. 1, since I had the democratically determined most capable vehicle. If I was able to make it through, everyone else would attempt. I couldn't and I ended up putting a dent on the rear quarter, and got double high centered (each pumpkin). I had to be winched downhill by a Galloper SUV (betcha don't know this brand ;) Tip: it's made in Korea)

On this second video, I'm returning the favor towing the same Galloper up through exit No. 2, which is were we had gone down and were we had to go up again. I was the only one to tow someone up. I didn't make it all the way up, but I did make it even futher than the Jeeps and Toyotas that weren't towing anyone.

The mud was sooo slick I fell in my a** about 7 times. My elbows are scratched, my wrists are sore and my a** hurts a lot.

The thread in our forum with pics (in spanish):

Nice to see you here again Juan!!! Cool vids! That mud looked greasier than whale sh!t on an ice flow....:D

Don't be such a stranger, I for one really miss the old timers that used to be regular's here.

Hey dood, I was wondering what ever became of you! Great vids!

Man that stuff looks like sticky snot!

Hey, noticed in one of those pics there's what looks like a lifted Suzuki Sidekick/Vitara...I think I might know who that guy is from the Suzuki forums. How'd his rig do?

You guys are so cool. I'm so glad you even remember my name! Thanks for the comments. You're welcome to come down here any time.

I really miss CK5 too, but I'm the webmaster to our local 4x4 club, my 1st baby was born, and got a lot of work to do all the time, so it's so hard. Especially since I know how addictive CK5 can be. Back in the days I used to work only 1/2 of the day and spend the rest reading posts. Honest!

Check out the thread as more pictures have been added:

About the Suzuki guy, he goes by the name "Coco" in our forum. It's a Geo Tracker hard top (rare) with about 2" body lift and 31" tires. Unfortunately while attempting that nasty uphill, he hit a large rock and broke his front (aluminum) axle near where the pinion goes in. This destroyed the ring & pinion, so he is looking into a solid axle swap now.

He climbed enough to winch himself out,m though. He than strapped his a** to some poles in a construction and pulled most of the vehicles out. Amazing! He then drove home in 2wd, but in the way the Discovery broke down (wouldn't start) and he managed to tow him as well, until a pretty steep hill made him overheat, so a the Galloper took over. Very amazing for the little Tracker. His winch is a MileMarker 8000# which did a great job too.

Later.

Good stuff man!

Huh, so they sold Geo's down there. Not the guy I was thinking of but cool none-the-less.

Hahahaha, cow crossing!

No wonder you guys did so much winching, most of the vehicles were on AT's or less!

Actually all Geos are "rolled down" from the US. Dealers never offered that brand. You only could get Suzuki Vitara and now the new Jimny.

The cows are guilty for making the ground so loose with their hooves! That's the only thing this road is used for. Cattle! We asked the guy if he could tow us with a couple of cows but he refused! :haha:

Yes they are all ON ATs at best because they are kind of the newer members in the club. After this, trust me, they want a serious tire. The problem is big tires end up very expensive here because of shipping, a 5% customs tax, and a 12% sales tax.

Good Videos. I always like to see the stuff going on in other countries. I will show them to my kid so he can interpret the spanish that I can't. Definately some slick stuff you were in!!
