So since D44 knuckles have the tie rod go in from the top, if I put those knuckles on my 10b and use the tie rod from my 10b will it hit the springs?

yes, the actual d44 TRE has a bend in the threaded section to get it under the springs. you can probably put the 10B tierod on, and then install axle , but youd never get it off in one piece.
