A different kind of suspension discusion

I said that from my experience ordering ORD alcans. I was told 4" is the smallest custom spring they offer.

If you go directly through Alcan they should be able to make just about anything. I called them years ago to see if they could/how much a 1" spring lift* would be. They said they could do it. Cost was, well, out of my ballpark at the time, but not bad if their springs are as good as everyone says they are.

*If you're wondering why I would even think about a 1" spring lift, it's because the springs are old and worn out and I didn't want a huge lift because it's a daily driver, but I thought just buying stock replacement springs seemed silly, might as well lift it a little, right? But now 5 years later I'm still running those same stock springs...:doah:

Custom is custom, right down to ride height. We have no problem building a shorter lift spring but I always try to steer guys toward at least 2.5 to 3" of lift for just the question in this thread.

Also remember Alcan does not sell ORD springs. They are a manufacturer for us who also sells a line of their own springs that are not the same. We don't mind mentioning who builds them for us because they do a great job but they only do the construction. They don't do any of the design work.
