Another cool fact is that monster trucks dont have cooling systems.
Nope no cooling system, raditor etc.koldsimer said:Makes, since... that just seems like a sheet ton of torque going through five studs. Please school me on the monster trucks. No cooling system?

I was talking to one of the guys that owns a team at the 4 wheel jamboree and he said that not alot of them use cooling systems since they are only out there for a few minutes and that they rarely ever get hot to where it will damage the motor.
I was pretty shocked to hear that.
yep he also mentioned that they are always pulling the motor for work so they hate messing with coolant getting everywhere.79k20350 said:The motors are also run on alcohol which burns alot cooler just like in dragsters (which also have no radiators), that combined with the fact that there only out for a few minutes means they dont heat up enough to justify the weight and compexity of a cooling system.

They're not really normal-size. They're like 5/8" IIRC.koldsimer said:Someone tell me how top fuel dragsters have wheels with what appear to be five large but normal size lug nuts and studs? I never recall seeing them break really, so what's the secret?
