Ive got some 2" Rough Country springs, theyve been on my truck for 4-5 years now, they are getting rusty and actually starting to sag, mainly from just sitting apparently. I put less than 3,ooo miles on my truck and rarely wheel it, maybe once , twice a year and its just trail riding mainly.

Anyways, Ill probably replace them sometime soon. Id also like to move up to 35" tires sometime in the far future as well. Ive already got extended SS brake lines but that is the extent of my mods for that. Ive got some Bilstein 5150 shocks that will obviously stay, they were setup for my 2" springs.

Now for the questions

1) Should I stick with 2" lift or move up to 3-4"

2) Will 35s rub with 2" and no trimming

3) would I need to do anything else to go up to 4" lift

4) Does anyone make a 3" lift

5) What springs would anyone recommend, I liked the rough country but dont feel they last very long. The ride was nice with them, not rough at all.

That should be all the questions I have for now. lol :waytogo:

i have 35's and a 4 inch lift and had to trim. tuff country makes a 3 inch lift.

It depends alot on what size 35, the width, and the rim you decide to go with. I don't rub at all with my 35s. And if you only trail ride, you could get by with a 3" lift. Just depends on how you flex the truck.

Im using stock rally rims that came with the truck. Ive got 33 12.5 x 15 M/T Baja Radials right now. Ill go back to BFG A/Ts and I may go with 35 10.5 instead of the wider 12.5s next go around. I just trail ride but on occasion will stuff the rear tires up in the wheel wells

2" or 4" doesn't matter - 35's will rub if you wheel it without the sway bar. Even 33's will rub with 2". You could wheel with the sway bar or move the bump stops way down, but that really limits the performance. Trimming just a little off the bottom of the fender behind the front tire makes a big difference and hardly affects the appearance of the truck. You could also play with moving the axle forward a little.

If you are not picky about wheels you can minimize the interference with the right backspacing.

Negative ghost rider , im running 2" lift with 33" M/T Baja radials (the tallest true 33s out there) and they dont rub at all.
