dose anyone know if the (400)in my 1984 cucv blazer will mate up to a np 203 OR NP 205 Transfer case without an adapter kit. in sick of this leakin 208 pissin allover the place.:doah:

check out Advance Adaptors web site, they have all the dirt on this, and no, even a 32-spine 203 or 205 won't just bolt up, and you must consider the cost of modifying both driveshafts, not to mention the shifter and crossmember mods. I would just fix the 208 or replace it with another one and keep it's 2.61 low range (vs. 1.96 or 2.01).

You can use a 32 spline NP203 but you will need to re-drill the front face to the round pattern. Which will require the whole case to be taken apart drilled and put back together. If you are able to find a round pattern NP205 you will have to swap in a short 32 spline input to allow it to bolt up. You also wont have a pivot point for your shifter on the 208 adaptor. So either of them will fit but not a direct bolt in.

The 85-91 NP205 will bolt up, provided you use its unique adapter (TH400/4L80E style).
