I found a website that had an RPO list that I really liked, but I couldn't copy/paste it. I emailed the link to my bro and he did something to be able to get it. Anyway, here it is. It's the most complete list I have found, maybe you can copy/paste to a text document saved on your puter for future reference.

I tried to put the list on here but, but it was too large - "The text that you have entered is too long (180058 characters). Please shorten it to 50000 characters long." I put it on my CarDomain page, so copy/paste and save for future reference!

Well, it still didn't have my mystery codes, anybody know what these are?
AXP, R6N, TFE, XHB, YD5, YHB,& ZHB
And why the hell would my '90 GMC Suburban have a Z75 (conversion name plate Cadillac)?

You can look at the sticker in the glove box and look at this list to see what your GM came with for options from the factory.

The GM parts manuals (where people get those lists) appear to use a pretty generic "chart" for the codes. Depending on year, they will be different, at least some codes.

I notice G80 on that is limited slip positraction, yet I'm 100% certain the 80's trucks RPO lists it as a locking differential.

Also notice that there is a 7.5" ring gear listed above the 8.5", we all know the 7.5" didn't come in the full size trucks, nor did 2.29 gears. :) Just evidence that the codes are pretty much universal for all GM vehicles.

AXP - VIN IDENT POSITION, MULTI-PURPOSE VEHICLE
R6N - CONTROL SALES ITEM NO. 14
TFE - SALES INCENTIVE COMMITMENT PLUS
XHB - TIRE FRONT P235/75R15/X WS2 R/PE ST TL ALS
YD5 - SPRING FRONT BASE EQUIPMENT
YHB - TIRE REAR P235/75R15/X WS2 R/PE ST TL ALS
ZHB - TIRE SPARE P235/75R15/X WS2 R/PE ST TL ALS

Z75 - QUAD SHOCK OPTION

You've also gotta remember, GM was known for reusing their RPO codes for more than one thing

those RPO codes are non specific, are a mix up of all divisions, makes models, etc, that list is not gm truck specific by any means

some of those unknown codes above look like computer selected spring codes like on the coil rear cars like 77-up B bodies and 82-up F and 78-up G bodies, , and sales/merchandising codes, etc.

also, G80 has been called several different things by GM over the years, mainly depends on axle and vehicle model

powrlok, posi/limited slip, locking diff, etc etc,

I made THIS LIST here and its being hosted for me by Polaris :D
None of these links work anymore (it's been over 2 years after all), but does anyone still have them available somewhere, or something similar? After matching the 70 or so RPO codes on my sticker to the list found on Chuck's Chevy Truck Pages, I'm still coming up blank on two thirds of them.

Thanks a lot for that one! It cleared 95% of the RPOs on my K5. Since it does claim to be complete, are there actually typos on my glovebox sticker? :D

These are the ones on my sticker that are not to be found in the list (checked and double-checked):

E6C
SLL
XFL (probably front tire dimension)
X06
YD5 (Chuck has this as "SPRING FRONT BASE EQUIPMENT". But I have YD3 also)
YFL
ZFL
Z31
90K

Can anybody shed some light on those...?

Also, a few other questions arose from going through the list. I have

N67 WHEEL, RALLY TYPE , VAR2

as opposed to VAR1. There were two different kinds of rally wheels?

And as for

72L SECONDARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, MED GARNET RED MET (91)

I thought this red, referred to as "apple red" in sales brochures, was just a standard bright red, and not metallic? I know for a fact that mine is not metallic, so, has it been repainted, or what?

And these two, what do they really mean?

E5Z SPEEDOMETER ADAPTER (DELETE)
E9Z SPEEDOMETER KEY (DELETE)

And as for

GT4 AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO (DUP WITH 5 X 1)

Um, duplicate with 5 x 1? The "plain" 3.73 codes are GS3 or H05.
