Has anyone installed the air injection system for emissions into header pipes.
I'm having trouble passing the e test in Ontario and the air pump is missing.

I planned on going with a replacement cat that had the air tube built into it. Than I got lucky and picked up a set of headers that had the injection tubes in the same location as stock manifolds. I've had no problems passing emissions with it set up like that. :D

Are you failing a visual or just a sniffer?

An alternative would be to plumb an AIR tube into just one header pipe ala some of the early TBI trucks. They didn't use the AIR manifold with four ports, just one big tube dumping it into the manifold.

Just an idea.

If youre interested I just took the dual air pumps off my '85 K30. I have the brackets and pumps, but not the rest of the system.

when i put headers on mime , i just drilled the proper size hole in the header
and welded the piece in place then hooked the hose up . :waytogo:
