I been reading alot about rockcrawling and mud slinging on these posts lately and people bashing others rigs. Its time to put up or shut up. We need our own version of Top Truck Challenge. Anybody interested? We could have sectionals then east and west and then the overall. One Winner! This sort of thing takes time and coordination. But I know we would have a good time. Just a few more mods and me and Depdog want the west coast boys(Steve & Shawn) pretty boys against the brawlers. I think the whole thing would be cool . What do you guys think.

I'm about as West Coast as it gets! I'll do my part to defend the West!!! As long as there is plenty of lead time to make preparations!

No WAY Rene!!! You're just not toughened up enough for this one with that cushy weather. When we do the East coast part it's gotta be at least 14 below just to make it interesting...you just ain't been stuck until your life's in danger!!! Part of the points system will be to see who can get a fire going w/5 wet logs and a half-quart of Dexron. 50 points off for not knowing which drive-thru stays open till 1 A.M. or which friend has a Chevy starter at 3:30 in the morning

Where is the East coast West coast border? Mississippi River maybe?

Moab? Easter? Sounds like a good time.

I think that would be the place to get the west coast boys against the mtn. boys. Lets do it! Now if only I can get the time to loosen up my suspension so I don't loose too many teeth. Give us some dates Steve.

I hoped this would get the fun back in it. So we could really plan something for later in the year.Maybe Top K5 Challenge 2002 okay maybe pretty boy refered to the the K5's. Tight bushy trails with limbs scratchin up the side. I don't think those fancy paint jobs can handle it. "Hey Dep hand me another rattle can for the passenger door" Lets get ready to rumbllllllllllllllllle.

Nothing like good fun trash talking!

Bring it on! Now we just a pile of tires and a huge heavy dump truck for the hill climb! Why don't we make it interesting and use 2 dump trucks!

BTW- If anyone is planning on Moab this EJS, reserve a hotel now. I called a few that were already booked but the Super 8 still had some rooms.

The dates I have planned are April 9, 10, 11

Fancy paint job? umm mine is the stock paint from 1990 with tree scratches all over the place, and obviosly the paint CAN handle it. Do you need an extra can of paint to cover up your embarrasment.

Hmmmm where How about a couple choice spots in Tellico. Main couse could be Lower 2. They ran a contest on that trail at the last Dixie run. Hmmmm only 4 trucks got rolled :) Only 14 broke out of the 25 entered. some pictures of the event are on www.sfwda.org site under the 2000 Dixie run.

i am with steve...my truck is paited justlike his except mine is a little lighter gray, so i know th paint can hold up..that rocky mountain pinstripe i have wasnt an option from the factory..i had to put on a bra to cover up dents on the hood!! EAST MEETS WEST!!!
sounds like an awsome idea!!! is tellico good for the east coasters???? its pretty much centrally located...

AIRBORNE!!

Okay, tRusty...rocks and hills don't scare me!! Just let me kick my doorskin back out and I'll show ya how its DONE! LOL!!! THATS IT!! ITS GO TIME!!!

Okay maybe Moab for the guys out west and Telico for the east. We each could pick the top contestants and meet in the BADLANDS later in the year.

Count me in! I need someone to whip up on. Actually, I need to drop about another 4 grand in my K5 soon. Need fresh motor and other small mods such as Warn Full Floater and Front axleshafts. I probably should sell the rear lock-right and install a Detroit. Oh, well this spending spree is not over yet! Ill host the Midwest series. I may have some good competition around here with baddies like Ken Brown, Steve Frisbee and others. I guess I need to trade in the BMW for a Tahoe and a trailer for the rig if I plan on going to Colorado to whip up on Steve and Shawn. Shawn wins the double dump truck pull, Hands down! Not sure though, there are some heavy guns down in the Atlanta area like Depdog, Keith, Grim. This is a great idea. Lets all go for broke!

You cant run all of telico in a full size and have a nice body when you leave, hell your going to be lucky if you still have a body!LOL Lets rummble fellas!

I only got one question, who is buyin my gas?

Thats one long ride. As for you west coast heathens, if you aint ready for some deep paint scratches ( a buffer and rubbing compound aint gonna touch this) and some dents and caved in rocker panels, they you best stay away from Tellico. Least the real trails, you can do 1 and 4 if it aint raining.

At Dixie I tore off my tire carrier, caved in a quarter panel and took some nice paint gouges, and that was not even on the nasty trails.
