Looks Good!!!:thumb: :thumb:

I especially like the "hose" radiator supports!!!!

Hey now...lol, leave my radiator supports alone.:D Seriously though, it is bolted down fairly well, it wiggles alittle bit if I hit a large enough bump, not enough to hurt anything though. It'll be supported by tube when all is said and done. :cool1:

looking for a 14bltff..had one lined up, was all set to get it, and the guy changed his mind..now i can't seem to find one anywhere that isn't an arm and a leg...i've got the money, thats not the problem just dont see the reason to spend alot on somthing that i could get for cheaper...does that make since? i worked for tyler for a while at geared up drivetrain, and now work on ocassion for a guy running a shop out of his house. well out of his huge 5 car garage/shop, he mainly builds and restores hot rods and muscle cars. he gets a pile of axles from time to time, mainly ford 9 inchers then i tear them down and rebuild them for him.you would think that i would be able to find a 14bltff huh? but i guess i'm not looking in the right place.

Good Luck finding affordable tube!!!!:saweet:

Dude that place rocks, I like the creek crossing, thats pretty cool, I wasl almost figuring that you were gonna show pictures of Arburn Hills, but that place looks coooler:D

congrats man.. :waytogo:

i bet it felt great to get out there... beautiful place too, looks fun...

:woot: :saweet: :thumb: :usaflag: That must be the best feeling, keep up the good work that beast is really coming along. What size tube are you going to use for your cage etc, 1.75 or 2" .120 or what?

I can find you an axle no problem. Any specific ratio? And whats you budget?

i would love to find one with 4.88 ratio but i think that will be difficult..so the usual factory ratos will be fine (3.73 ro 4.10). i can always regear it..as for budget well, i'm actually on disability now. so i do watch my pennies. and like i said i do work from time to time(under the table) so i have some exta money right now. tyler said that he could get me a 14bltff from $250 to $650..but i can't bring myself to fork that over since i have a friend that got his 14bltff for $75 and another that got his for $125..but i gues if push comes to shove i would pay a little more..but the less i pay the better, haven't done any side work in a little while and don't want to compleatly wipe out what i have saved up. thanks for being willing to help by the way..

I've got a buddy out on McCourtney Rd thats always got atealst a couple 14b's around. He sells them and buys them all the time, always rotating his stock. I'll call him up tommorrow and ask him what he's got and how much. It's either gonna be 3.73 or 4.10, just so ya know. And prolly right around $200. But his parts are always in good shape, no junk or surprises. I'll let ya know what I find out.

that would be great, I called Rich Gai off of McCourtney about a week ago, do you know of him? anyways he didn't have one at the tiime, i was gonna try him again tomorrow..let me know what you find, and thanks again.

LOL! Rich Gai is the buddy I was talking about. haha, Small world. I was out there last weekend picking up a driveshaft for my truck. He usually gives the tour of all his stuff whever I go out there, even if its the exact same stuff he gave me the tour of the last I was there...lol Anyways, I didn't get the tour this time cause I showed up with my truggy...That distracted him. lol! Didn't get tour so I didn't find out what hes got this time around. Let me call him first tommorrow and see what he says...I've known him for years, been getting parts from him forever. He usually goes alittle further to help me out than he would for most. Crazy old guy....I went out there once to get something, usually he's right around the garage/house area and shows up within a minute or two of someone arriving. I stood around for about 15 minutes wondering where he was, then I see him humpin it up the road from the back part of his property, sweatin his @ss off, wearin nothin but sandals, a pair of shorts, a hat with the words "Old Fart", and carrying a smokin AK-47 with two 40rd clips taped together. Both empty. :eek1: I just said wtf dude? He goes "well, I heard the neighbors down in the valley shooting a shotgun, so I figured I'd go to the edge of the property and talk back. I let loose 80rds into the dirt as fast as I could...The shotgun stopped for the rest of the day." Didn't know what to say to that....lol. Interesting dude. :)

yeah he is a character, thats where i got the hood and fender for my truck, came off a blue 81 front clip..hence the reason i have a primerd gray hood and fender....whats up with that 426 hemi by his house with flowers growing out of the carb? that has to be a "mock-up" engine..it can't be the real thing can it? all though my neighbor told me that he and his buddy went out there a few years back and bought two polished 6-71 blowers off of him for a hundred bucks, i guss he was using them as ashtrays?..and yeah i got the tour..in his little pickup all around the property, in the storage sheds.saw all the driveshafts out front...real nice guy..oh and when you call him, see if he still has the passgener door, i think it was an '81 and my passenger door is caved in, so i need one of those also...

Whoa..lol, I was there when that blue '81 was hauled in. It ran and drove like a top. Helped him go through the console and pocket all the spare change in there. Drove it around the yard myself. Then he chopped it up..lol. My truggy actually has some parts from it too- The old rear springs from that '81 are now my front springs.

That 426 Hemi is real believe it or not- He says he did that just to drive the Mopar guys crazy. I saw the blower ashtrays too. Have you seen the riding lawn mower with the 3800 V-6 mocked up in it?

And I'm almost certain I've seen some doors out there recently. I'll see what he says. :)

no i missed that lawn mower!! that would be sweet!...yeah i'm a huge Dodge Charger fan..so that hemi flower pot blew my mind...i asked him if he had any chargers hanging around and he told me he had i beleave a 69 and 70 charger, said they sat there for ever so he hauled them off and crushed them, i dang near cried..that 65 satalite in his garage is nice, factory 4 speed..would love to take it for a spin. when i was there he just put the brakes on the red mustang and was almost set to fire it up, he had me help push it back into the garage..so yeah, can't wait to hear back from you tomorrow, or i guess i should say later today

Talked to him today. He said he doesn't have any 14b ff at the moment, but he does have a 8 lug 14b sf with what he thinks are "loose" spider gears. 3.73's I think. Said he sell it to me for $75. Said he also has a D60 ff with 4.10's in good shape w/ "posi", that he'd sell me for $200. Said hes also trying to buy a '79 K3500 with a 60/14b combo and 4.56's. I think he said about $13-1400 for the pair if he gets the truck. And I forgot to ask him about doors. I'm prolly gonna go out there tommorrow and check it all out. I'll let ya know what I find. :)

thanks for looking into this for me..i really don't want the 14sf or the d60 rear..rather hold out for the 14ff..when are you heading out there? maybe i could meet you out there?

If any luck - 2 more years and you will have the fenders, doors and bedsides back on!:D

J/K - looks good man! Can't wait to finish my new ride too!

Be kinda hard to put the bedsides back on...they came off in about 8 pieces each. Love the plasma cutter. :)
