I put a 2 gauge pod thing on the A pillar in my ford and the damn trans temp gauge fogs up all the time, while the vac gauge does not (trans temp is on the bottom).

Does anyone else have a probalem with these?

both are Autometer sport comp, trans temp is electric, and the vacuum gauge is mechanical.

First of all, don't drive with your face on the A pillar........

Is it moisture fog? Or is it something baking out of the gauge its self?

If its moisture, then there has to be a temperature differential to let the fog condense. And the glass needs to be colder than the air in the gauge.

The gauges are inside, right? Where is the cold coming from?

Or, where is the warm moist air coming from?

You may need to unstop a vent hole or drill one to let air circulate in the gauge.....

Or seal it up and purge it with dry Nitrogen........

The gauges are inside the cab, its weird because it only the one that fogs up.

I do park in a garage, and the climate in Mn is far from predictable, maybe that causes some of the issues.

I dont think there is a pulgged vent, they are nearly brand new. maybe this is just something that I will have to live with.

if almost new call/email them and ask if its easy fix or warrenty it out .

otherwise i wouldnt live with that .
