What can I put on the passenger side A pillar so that someone can use to climb into my truck? I want to keep the truck looking somewhat nice and am not interested in screwing in something from a hardware store... What I would like is something off of a Tahoe, Yukon, Explorer, Expedition, etc. My interest is that it looks decent and be functional.

Any ideas on what will work and how it should be installed?

Thanks!

I looked at doing the same thing a few years ago. Summit makes grab handles as do many others - actually I may still have the ones I originally bought and never installed. My concern was drilling into the A pillar and the stress using that handle would put on it. I thought about putting it on the exterior of the B pillar, which I think is a better option but not as easy to use.

Ultimately I put a roll cage in and don't have the problem anymore.

Maybe you'd be better off getting a step that people could use if needed so you can keep the A pillar intact. There are a number of posts re: this - some of the guys had some pretty clever temporary steps for their rigs, that they could pull up for clearance when not needed. There's also the permanent step you can affix to the body to and behind the rocker. Did that originally too on my rig before I put sliders on.
