A thought about about putting soft top on 73 Blazer

Have a STC top to install on a 73 when it's out of the body shop. I am putting new doors on it, The doors on the stock truck come without the window frames and they have to be cut off of the replacement doors. Since I do not intend to use the hard top, why couldn't I leave them on and not have to drill and use the piece that fits between rear quarter and windshield header. If anyone from STC reads this, will it work. i.e. will the doors shut and seal against the top?

i dont think it will work i have a stc top on my 73 and it is real close to the glass, plus it has a little lip on the top that sits over the glass to make it water tight, but hey it woint hurt to try it if it dosent work you just cut the doors while they are on the truck
