a true fullsize

That is sweet. I used to try stuff like that with Deuce and a halfs and 5-tons when I was a mechanic for the army. Some things are easier because of the size of the tires, but some is a lot harder because of the weight, CG and size.

Dont tell jek those have independant suspension:eek1::haha::haha:

ive ran a few HMMTT's (sp) like those in the snow and ice and its very impressive when your locked up in 8X8 and throwing snow off every tire.

backwards down a frozen freeway in a fueler wasnt as fun though.

Damnit I better stay away from the trucks at work tommorrow...im gettin ideas:doah:

a good friend of mine from around Houston use to build trucks like that from scratch. Although he was one of the people in the assembly line that completely made all the wiring harness and hydraulic systems, they basically fabbed an entire truck that looked much like that truck, but with a few more feet of ground clearance and 50-whatever inch terra tires. They were mainly used for oil field service up around the artic circle and alaska. He said they sold them for around $250k for the stripper models and up from there. I was kinda shocked when he said the frames were made from 12"x6" solid square stock...no tubing, solid...whoa I will try to dig up a pic. Wow that turbo sounds nasty, diesel power....drool.

those are pretty cool...is there any particular reason those guys all seemed to back up pretty much everything other than being able to steer like a forklift?
