A VT Build

Inspirational mock up.

Had the poor ole girl up for sale for awhile and decided to assemble it when I had a perspective buyer coming over to look at it.

Long/short of the story is that the deal didn't work out, I wasn't willing to sell it for what the guy was willing to pay for it.

Glad it worked out that way in the end, I've decided to keep it and continue the build over the winter.

Out of curiosity....what were you looking to get for it?

BTW, it looks awesome all together!

I was offering up varying degrees of a package deal.

The initial tub/chassis, entire front clip, one ton axles w/4:56 gears, 37" MTR's on the H2's, cross-over, high steer and all the DIY parts, plus some small stuff for $6500.00.

Have enough parts around here to make up a complete, So I tried selling it that way and was asking $9500.00 for it, including a complete drive train and TPI fuel injection.

The guy who looked at it, in the end only wanted the tub/chassis & all the rest of the necessary parts to make it complete.
He had the drive train parts already.
That package included what you see in the pics, less the axle set but with everything else.
Adding in, seats, dash, door panels, poly tank set, wiring...etc.
Along with the other small niggly stuff needed to make a complete blazer.

I agreed to sell that package for $4600.00 delivered to his place along with help him pull the axles out from underneath of it when it got there.

Long post but there's your answer. :p:

After my suburban's drivetrain price tag, $6500 is a smoking deal for this blazer. Wished I had the cash:doah:

Yeah I thought it was a pretty decent deal too but luckily I came to my senses and that window of opportunity is now closed. :p:

This tub has a deposit on it...we'll see.

If it does sell, I'll let the two current build threads drop off & start a new one seeing so many parts will be combined from each project.

You sold it with the H2s and the axles??? Or was that just to get it there?

Sold just the tub but let him take it up to his shop as a rolling chassis, so it'd be easier for him to deal with.

Keeping the H2's, axles, drive train and most everything else.

The frame is already spoken for too.
