puyting an aam 10.5 in my truck I'm just not sure what to do about the ebrake cables. The ends on mine are totally different than what the newer axle uses. Anyone dealt with this issue?
Not sure how similar the new cables on the new AAM 10.5 are vs the new 10 Bolt rears, but Cyclic swapped one of those in his Burb and got the ebrakes hooked up and working like factory. Here's his thread in case it helps https://ck5.com/forums/threads/pure-chevy-sex.316597/page-4 (scroll down to post #72)
I had a similar issue with my G3500 van axle, I ended up buying cables that matched the axle (and were too long) and attaching them to the truck cable on the friendlier end, rather than messing with the brake drum end. Has been working well.

After looking at the above mentioned thread and what you say I also think that's gonna be the best way to go about it. Looks like LOKAR has some good small parts that will be useful for adapting ends
