Hey everyone, this is my first post on here, I just found the site and realized that it was based out of Colorado (I'm from Denver) and figured it might just be the perfect place where I could potentially find some truth about a rumor I have been hearing for years, so here goes...

Supposedly, there is an abandoned 8th gen Suburban on 33's or 35's stuck on one of the trails in Pickle Gulch, (Gilpin County, Colorado - Arapaho National Forest, Clear Creek Ranger District) and supposedly it has been there for quite some time now... I heard it was left because one of the tires was flat... what a waste. And what a nuissance! I hate it when people block the trails with their mistakes like that. Does anyone else have any info on this? Is it true? If so, has it been removed yet? Does the Ranger District know about it? :dunno:

I am sure that SOME ONE on here must have seen it, this being a COLORADO forum dedicated to full size Chevy trucks! :thumb:

Who knows, maybe it belongs to some one on this very forum??

...let's hope not!</B>

...and just to clear things up, I am NOT trying to scavange parts.... I just think this rig needs to be removed, and/or re-united with it's origional owner. I am simply trying to see if there is any truth to the rumor. Any and all replies and input are appreciated!!!

...I just hate seeing things go to waste, and I hate blocked trails even more... plus, I just like exploring and checking out abandoned things, be them cars, houses, or missile silos! :thumb:

I would, but the thing is, I have no idea which trail it is on. Pickle Gulch is huge, and there are tons of trails. Does anyone have any idea where it might be?? Has anyone else here heard the rumor of it's existence???

:dunno:

I've heard of it. Go find it before someone else does... rumor is the seats are filled cocaine and couch dance coupons from Deja Vu.

If its been there more than a couple of weeks, the rangers know its there. Call the district office and ask. They will get it removed after notifying the owner to remove it. Bet money it was reported stolen the day after it was left.

This and or the guys on CO4x4 know about it and would have already helped to retrieve it.

Hahaha good one, Dustin! :haha:

And yeah, I figured that the rangers would know about it.

I found out that it was left there because the guys driving it spilled a mess of prop wash in the back and could not get it to run. :dunno: The rangers are waiting for a professional to come and clear it so it can be towed.

Ok not to sound like an idiot, but what is "prop wash"???

I thought that was an aviation term??? :dunno:

Also, does that mean it is still there?! If so, it's been there a LONG time... I first heard this rumor over 2 years ago... I just recently found this website and flased on it again, however....

Its long gone.

A place a wheel vehicles donot last morr than a couple days.

For example there was a nice mid 90s dakota out there that died. Second day it was out there I saw it and all the windows were broken, tires were gone, and somebody had lit it on fire. Saw it a few days after and it had veen pushed a hundred feet or so off a small cliff were it now resides. As a little lump of metal

Chris, please tell me your drunk. I've never seen you misspell words like that:whistle:

You remember the last time we saw someone that normally did not type that way go wonky?

That's too bad Chris! That was at Pickle Gulch too?

Some people have ZERO eff'ing respect!!!

And MetroDPS, I get it now. I guess I jsut had my own FNG moment!

Way to get me on that one! D'oh! hahaha :doah:

I used to have some flight line but I think it got stolen along with my sheetrock stretcher and my bucket of head joints

I heard the prop wash was just to clean up the spilled blinker fluid after backing into a stump. The real bummer was they threw a muffler bearing on the way out...
