abc autoparts rebuilt small block

My diesel died today, and i'm looking to replace it with a 350. As i am now with out a truck and needing a quick swap. I would rather do my own rebuild but there really is no time for that. I was wondering if any of you have ever used one of ABC auto parts rebuilt long blocks. If so what kind of luck did you have? Any info would be greatly appreciated, as it will help me choose one of several routes.

I bought a brand new crate 350 Straight from chevy for only $1349.00. With a three year 50,000 mile warranty on it. I shopped around a little and found rebuilds for around $999.00. But only a year & 12,000 warranty. And I heard stories that you pretty much need to take them a part and check everything out.
