Wondering what ya'll recomend for clutch and flywheel for a daily driver. This would be in a 2WD Crewcab with ocaisional towing. wondering if the plain Duralast from Autozone would work fine or if I should go for one of the more expensive brands like Hays, or Luk. Also what type of flywheel? Thanks.

well you get what you pay for. and also who wants to chance bench pressing a 4 or 5 speed truck trans more than 1 time only to find cheep clutch was bad.

The biggest, baddest clutch you can buy. If your flywheel is thin, get one too. I re-used my old flywheel and spent a ton on a custom clutch and it still chatters.

Get a Luk Pro-Gold. I have said it 100 times before. It's the best clutch i have ever used- never once slipped, perfect modulation/feel and it has never let me down. Get the 12" one if your flywheel can accomodate it- most will.

I agree, get a Luk. Do not buy the cheap one from Autozone. A guy on another board just put one in and it is out of balance - he will have to tear it out again.

This is what I run too...so far it is working great!
You won't save a dime if you have to doit twice.

Add another vote for the Luk products ! There are a loy of great clutch manufacture's out there and the Luk stuff is near the top of the list . BTW most parts Autozone carries doesn't make anyones top list........

X-2 7 resurface the stock flywheel, you'll be happy with it.
