OK guys I,m going to put the patch panel and a steering brace in a ck5. can you guys tell me what bolts a need to buy? I think there 1/2 but what length do you guys think I need thx its a 86

Is the brace the one from ORD if so it comes with longer bolts.

I can't remember the length of my bolts but I went one step further. Once I figured out the needed length I added another 1/2" to 3 of the bolts and put lock nuts on the threads that stuck out the outboard side of the steering box (3 go all the way through the box, 1 does not).

Not really necessary but another step towards keeping the box tight.

Good idea. I am going to keep that in mind when I do my crossover next month.

I used stover lock nuts on mine because they are shorter than lock nuts with the nylon inserts.
