about to lose my steering wheel

hey guys i have an 85 k5. my steering wheel feels to be coming loose around the joint for the tilt steering wheel. i can grab the wheel and it moves freely about 4 inches in every direction. how do i tighten this up.??

If you were a paid member, you could do a search and find several threads on the topic, as well as links to related articles presently published on the Internet.

But basically, you need to take your entire steering column apart, down to the tilt mechanism, loctite and retighten three or four Torx screws, and reassemble the sucker.
