I have fought this for about a year now
the truck will run great 2 or three days then all of a sudden if you put on the break at like a stop sign coming to a stop the rpms will drop to around 200-300 then recoup itself. Its runs like its pulling a gooseneck trailer behind it most of the time and hard on the gas. Replaced evrything i could think of as far as sensors. New pick up coil, ecm, egr, map sensor, rebuilt tranny after shattering rear planetary gear, im sure there is more. Any help would be great thanks

Picked a bad time to post, with the holiday, most folks are out doing stuff, I'm just sitting around waiting on the tropical storm to hit, so I'm still here. You will probably get more answers after Monday just be patient.
In the meantime, you need to post as much info about the truck as you can. Model, year, engine size, type of transmission, transfer case, types of mods, that sort of thing.
Plus as much info about when this started and if anything was done to it just before.
Especially if it was doing it before the gear breakage.
Without knowing any more than I do, the possibility of a lockup torque converter problem sounds likely.

Sounds like the vacuum booster could be having issues to me. Had one do the same, but my big block didn't notice as bad when it first happened.
It pulls too much air, and can't adjust for it all with. (Assuming EFI)

Definetly vacum. My SD did the same thing last year. Would want to die at red lights.so i got a can of starting fluid and started spraying around the base of the intake and throttlebody.as soon as it revved up i knew what to replace.the hose from the intake to the throttle body was cracked. PS,do not spray it like you are painting something. Just little bursts.
