Just getting ready to do the swap . This 89 Suburban has a good running 350 that needs valve stem seals (smokes a little at start up). The engine on my Blazer is "knocking" so I need to do an emergency transplant while I finish off it's 350 that I want to take my time with. Just want to make sure I don't forget something here. I will need an intake or I could ovalize the bolt holes on the intake . All my accessories I will reuse .

Yup mod the holes on the intake a bit . You have to use the older trucks water pump if your keeping v-belts and existing accessories , don't forget the serpentine motors have a reverse water pump .

The newer motors flywheel/flexplate is specific to 86 and newer blocks , so if both trannies aren't the same type ( auto to auto or manual to manual ) you will be getting one .

And while its out , you can take the time to replace the seals and paint it . Clean stuff is so cool to work on :thumb:
