? about trany problems

i have a 84 ck5 and the motor and trany are gone can i put in a 400 trany or well it not fit the transfercase

is the adaptor on the tcase 4 bolt or 6 bolt holes? th350/700r4 are 4 bolt and 400/4l80 are 6 bolt. mostlikly you need th350/700 tranny as thats what came in the blazers.

o.k. then this means you have a 27 spline output shaft. the bigger 400/4l80 is 32 spline setup. now the question is what was in there last. 350 or 700? most likly 700. is the indicator prndl or prn(d)321? is the first it was 350 if second then 700. good luck .
