abs brake q's

I have a 98 1/2 ton 4x4 chevy and the abs keep kicking in when they don't need to any ideas?
Also is there a link to a site for gm tech bulletins on this stuff?
when you aply the brakes they kick in when ever they want some times it gives no brakes until you pump the pedal once.Thanks
